So, something crazy happened over the past week.
As many of you know, I offered completely free handmade Valentines to anyone who wanted one.
I’ve done this every year for the past three years and the most people that have ever signed up has been 30 or so.
This year… it was a different story.
After having the offer out and about on social media, over 150 sign ups rolled their way in (including many from you for which I am so grateful).
But at first, I’m not going to lie, I was in shock and slightly afraid of the crafting mountain ahead of me and how much glue and glitter would be needed for this endeavor.
So when I got five times the response I’ve ever received for these love notes, it made me think this massive response is actually a reflection of the world and how much love is needed - five times and maybe even 100 times as much as ever before.
I really think people (raising my hand high and maybe you feel it too) are in need of …
And the truth is, you just never know.
You never know who needs your love, how much they need it, and how long it’s been since they’ve truly felt what it feels like to be loved.
So on this Valentine’s Day Eve, you have an opportunity to view tomorrow as a day to be lovein a world that needs it more than ever…. at work, at the coffee shop, in your own home, on your own street, in the traffic jam, or just a phone call away.
Never underestimate the power of love.
Valentine’s Day often makes us think of roses and bubbly, but the truth is, love as an expression can be demonstrated in countless ways.
It can be found in your words, your smile, your writing of a love note, an act of kindness, your choices to say no to the to-do list and yes to being present, prioritizing your family, focused eye contact, a long walk sealed with a kiss, a homemade dinner or a sweet drive with all the windows down.
When you get dressed tomorrow morning, don’t forget to also tie on your superhero cape of love. We all have this superpower, we just don't use it enough.
So let us all be catalysts of love tomorrow because you just never know who needs it, how much they need it and how long it’s been since they’ve felt loved.
All hearts in,
